What the queue actually looks and feels like, what Lightning Lane gets you, and when waits are shortest — ride by ride.

Fully indoors and air-conditioned, set inside the "Wonder of Xandar" pavilion — a themed museum documenting Xandar's connection to Earth, with an extended pre-show featuring the Guardians films' Hollywood cast. One of the longest fully-enclosed coasters in the world. A traditional standby line returned in 2025 after several years of virtual-queue-only access.
Lightning Lane Single Pass (approx. $14–22, dynamic pricing) — Cosmic Rewind sits outside the Multi Pass tier system entirely. No single rider.
The entire Wonder of Xandar gallery and its Hollywood-cast pre-show video content. Lightning Lane guests bypass the museum queue and enter closer to the boarding area.
Standby has averaged around 100 minutes across a full day during peak periods and can run considerably longer at midday. The two most reliable lower-wait windows are the first hour after rope drop and the final hour before close.
Fully indoors and air-conditioned, redesigned into a series of bright showcase rooms tracing the history of automotive design, with natural light and concept-car displays, before boarding for an indoor test circuit that finishes with a high-speed outdoor loop. Reopened July 22, 2025 after a year-long refurbishment ("Test Track 3.0").
Lightning Lane Multi Pass (Tier 1) — shares EPCOT's single Tier 1 slot with Frozen Ever After and Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, so you can only pre-book one of the three. Single rider is available and consistently cuts the wait well below standby.
Rope drop and the final hour before close are the most reliable low-wait windows. Single rider is the most consistent way to shortcut a long midday standby line if you don't have the Tier 1 Multi Pass slot booked here.
Entirely indoors inside The Land pavilion, air-conditioned throughout. Rethemed and reopened May 26, 2026 as Soarin' Across America (previously Soarin' Around the World), with patriotic red-white-and-blue styling and a National Geographic-produced trivia experience ("The Soarin' Challenge Across America") built into the queue. Same hang-gliding simulator format, with Jerry Goldsmith's score newly rearranged by Bruce Broughton.
Lightning Lane Multi Pass (Tier 2). Single rider has historically been offered only intermittently — reports suggest Disney opens it when standby exceeds roughly 20 minutes, but it isn't guaranteed to be running on a given day.
Interest is elevated following the May 2026 retheme, so expect standby to build quickly after rope drop while the novelty holds. Watch for whether single rider is open that day before committing to the standby line.
Begins outdoors in an exposed courtyard that regularly extends well past the Norway pavilion during busy periods — Disney has provided umbrellas and water during hot stretches. The line then moves indoors into the air-conditioned Norway pavilion, themed as Anna and Elsa's summer home: Arendelle views, the Northern Lights, a newly-arranged Norwegian-folk score built from the film's songs, and a glimpse of Wandering Oaken's Trading Post along the way. Reopened in 2026 with upgraded Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff animatronics, which has kept demand elevated.
Lightning Lane Multi Pass (Tier 1) — one of only three EPCOT rides in this tier, and you can pre-book just one of them per day. No single rider.
Waits commonly build to 60+ minutes within the first 15–20 minutes of park open and have reached 90+ minutes by mid-morning since the animatronic refresh. There's no reliable late-day lull to plan around given how consistently high demand has stayed.
Begins outdoors in a partially covered area that can still feel warm, then moves indoors into cooled, winding hallways themed as an artist's loft covered in Ratatouille-inspired details — mice, cheese, and cooking tools worked into the wallpaper — before emerging onto a rooftop view of Paris with a lit-up Gusteau's restaurant sign just before boarding. As an indoor attraction, it isn't affected by rain.
Lightning Lane Multi Pass (Tier 1) — shares EPCOT's single Tier 1 slot with Test Track and Frozen Ever After, so you can only pre-book one of the three. Single rider is available through its own themed entrance.
Both Lightning Lane and single-rider guests bypass most of the artist's-loft standby queue, including some of the Ratatouille-themed set pieces that are only visible from the regular line.
Consistently one of EPCOT's most in-demand rides since opening. Single rider is generally the more reliable low-wait option, since the shared Tier 1 Multi Pass slot is contested by two other headliners.
